I have a salt water pool system which creates chlorine from the salt. When the chlorine breaks down it turns into salt again. Initial expense high for the system but salt is cheap and never buy chlorine. If you have steel side pools it will rust. Mine is soft side steel frame and is fourth year using it with some rust showing.
