Good news: I passed the test for the lifesaving course swimming in Levi's 501 jeans, T-shirt, a zipped hoodie jacket on top, with socks and canvas shoes. These clothes I often wear anyway.
I now understand why you guys are so excited about swimming in clothes. It feels so good and is great fun. Will now do that every week when training for lifesaving.
Thanks for your advice about sportswear. Will try that next time with unlined rain clothes on top.
