Yes, I remember it happened to me once on 31 December 2001 as I was ascending the Donahue Trail to the top of the Mogollon Rim. The trail wasn't used much, so vegetation crowded it. It was raining at the base and snowing on the top. I had rain gear, but as I was brushing against the dense brush, I was soon soaked. During the descent I remember thinking how odd it was that I was soaking wet at temperatures only slightly above freezing but felt adequately warm. I had quite a long ordeal ahead of me, as my car later broke down beside the highway, and I learned just how difficult it is to get a tow truck on New Year's Eve. For all that I had a good time.
