Can't imagine anyone actually looking for rattlesnakes. I have heard in Texas they have annual rattlesnake hunts where people go out and catch as many as they can and they have a festival afterwards where they cook them in various ways. Makes me want to barf just thinking about it! I'll stick to Maine!
Speaking of which it's dry here too. You wouldn't think so after the snow melt. The local river is running high but raking in my yard this morning it is very dry and dusty. It's also been a bit windy and local news stations have been warning about high fire danger. Hopefully we can get some rain soon.
