No, it's a matter of choice, which should not be excluded by "peer pressure" -- if a male feels more comfotable swimming topless, he should of course do so. Complementarily, if a male feels more comfortable siwimming in a top, he should not be prevented in doing so, by being gaslit by males who are afraid (for psychological reasons) to do so. Personally, being nonbinary I'm happiest swimming in a long dress (e.g. wedding dress or umbrella dress), which floats around my waist and adds a bit of a thrill to swimming, particularly in a wave machine as it swirls and tangles round you :) :) But I don't do this in a public indoor pool for safety reasons (POP PIP - Protect Other People in a Public Indoor Pool) but obviously and delightedly do so in the sea :) Always fill your soul with wonderful things :)
